Snapped Daphne Wright and Darlene Vander Giesen

Status: Incarcerated  In season 5, episode 11 the murder of her ex-girlfriend, Darlene Vander Giesen , by Daphne Wright is shown. This murder occurred in the state of South Dakota. Oxygen describes this episode of Snapped as Daphne Wright kills her ex-girlfriend's friend in February 2006 and then dismembers her body with a chainsaw. Daphne Wright was convicted and sentenced to life in prison. Wright became jealous of VanderGiesen and thought that VanderGiesen was trying to destroy Wright's relationship with Collins.   On February 1, 2006, Wright met VanderGiesen at a Pizza Hut restaurant ostensibly to plan a Valentine's Day surprise for Collins.   VanderGiesen was never seen again.   Two days after the meeting, VanderGiesen's father reported that his daughter was missing.   The next day, police found VanderGiesen's vehicle abandoned in the Pizza Hut parking lot.   VanderGiesen's car keys, house keys, wallet, and identification were missing.   P...

Status: The story of Amanda Kaur and her husband Ira Kaur, an Air Force Staff Sergeant, is the subject of Oxygen's Snapped show, season 11, episode 1. Oxygen describes the show as: Amanda Kaur is accused of shooting her husband Ira, an Air ForceStaff Sergeant , in November 2010 and staging his death as a suicide.
