In Oxygen's Snapped, Season 1, episode 1 the story of Celeste's husband, Steven Beard and Tracey Tarlton is shown. This happens in the state of Texas. Oxygen describes this show as: Celeste Beard Johnson is accused of convincing her lesbian lover, Tracey Tarlton, to shoot her wealthy fourth husband, Steven Beard, in their Austin mansion in October 1999.

Tracey Tarlton was given a 20 year sentence for her role in this murder. She has since been released. She has always been honest about her role and what lead her to kill. The same can not be said of Celeste.
