Snapped Shayne Lovera and Kelly Lovera

In season 6, episode 18 the murder of her mathematics professor husband, Kelly Lovera by Shayne Lovera is shown. This murder occurred in the state of Tennessee. Oxygen describes this episode of Snapped as Shayne Lovera did not want to divorce her mathematics professor husband, so she and her lover Brett Rae beat him to death in November 1994 then attempted to hide his body.

On November 6, 1994, United States Park Rangers located a Jeep at the bottom of a one hundred foot embankment on U.S. Highway 441. Inside the Jeep, they discovered the body of the deceased, KellyJ .Lovera. The deceased had multiple wounds to the head. An investigation ensued resulting in the arrest of [thePetitioner] and Brett Rae, the co-defendant in this case and the alleged lover of  [thePetitioner]


Shayne Lovera is found guilty of first-degree murder, but before the sentencing, they both cut deals to plead guilty for their crimes in exchange for parole in 25 years, Kelly's mother is raising the children. Like much of her life, prison has been neither kind nor gentle to her based on the photo below.
