Snapped Shannon Baugus

On Oxygen's Snapped, Season 9, Episode 12 the story of the murder of her husband by Shannon Baugus is shown. The show is described as Shannon Baugus is suspected of shooting her husband during an argument over the television in March 2010, and police challenge her claims that she was a battered wife.

This happened in Tennessee.

Shannon Baugus was charged with first-degree murder but was aquitted of all charges by a jury. Most people believe the murders were committed by George Baugus who is since deceased. His motive was theft from him.  Learn more here.

Snapped Velma Ogden Whitehead

Status: Released  On Oxygen's Snapped, Season 9, Episode 22 the story of the murder of her husband Ron Whitehead by Velma Ogden Whitehead , is shown. The show is described as Velma Ogden Whitehead, her 16-year-old son, and his friend are responsible for plotting the carjacking death of her husband Ron Whitehead in March 2005. This happened in Washington. Velma Ogden Whitehead pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 22 years in prison on June 5, 2008.  John Ogden was also convicted for his role in this murder. The appeal includes:  Ronald Whitehead, John Ogden’s stepfather, was shot fourtimes around 5:40 a.m. on March 18, 2005, at an intersection in Des Moines less than two milesfrom his house.  Whitehead had been driving to work in his Ford Mustang. Snapped Leslie MacKool and Janie Ballard

Status: Incarcerated  In season 6, episode 27 the murder of her mother Janie Ballard by Leslie MacKool is shown. This murder occurred in the state of Arkansas. Oxygen describes this episode of Snapped as Leslie MacKool is accused of stabbing her mother Janie Ballard 74 times in September 2003 so she could inherit her parents' multimillion-dollar estate with her husband, Michael MacKool Leslie MacKool is sentenced to life imprisonment without parole on the capital-murder charge and five years' imprisonment on the theft-of-property charge.
