Snapped Sandra Jessee

On Oxygen's Snapped, Season 9, Episode 23 the story of the murder of her ill husband Jack Jessee by Sandra Jessee is shown. The show is described as Sandra Jessee is accused of hiring hitmen, one of whom is her own son, to kill her ill husband Jack Jessee in August 1998 so she can move to Arizona to be closer to her son.

Sandra Jessee was Sentenced to life in prison without parole on March 22, 2012

The appeal includes: Similarly, the defense noted Jack's daughters testified they were not economically dependent upon him, and there was no evidence as to what Jack might have provided for them if Sandra was written out of his will.  “The reality is, not to be crass or disrespectful, but they – in other words, it would be unjust enrichment of the asserters now to get money that they never would have gotten in the first place․  They suffered no losses economically.”   Finally, the defense argued the types of restitution at issue in this case were not the same as in Runyan.
