Snapped Nancy Seaman and Bob Seaman

On Oxygen's Snapped, Season 8, Episode 13 the story of the murder of her husband Bob Seaman by Nancy Seaman is shown. The show is described as Nancy Seaman was an award-winning elementary schoolteacher from the Detroit suburbs who is accused of hacking and killing her husband Bob in May 2004, then trying to dispose of his body.

This case is a tale of two opposing narratives: one of a battered woman killing her abusive husband in self-defense, and another of premeditated murder. Petitioner’s husband, Robert Seaman,was discovered by police officers responding to a missing person report on May12, 2004. Mr.Seaman’s body was hidden in the trunk of Petitioner’s car, which was parked in the driveway of the couple’s home in Farmington Hills, Michigan.  Mr. Seaman had been struck on the head and neck with a hatchet at least sixteen times, slashed with a knife on the neck, stabbed at least twenty-one times, and struck on the forehead with an unidentified blunt object.

Snapped Shannon Baugus

Status: Acquitted  On Oxygen's Snapped, Season 9, Episode 12 the story of the murder of her husband by Shannon Baugus is shown. The show is described as Shannon Baugus is suspected of shooting her husband during an argument over the television in March 2010, and police challenge her claims that she was a battered wife. This happened in Tennessee. Shannon Baugus was charged with first-degree murder but was aquitted of all charges by a jury.
