Snapped Kathleen Denson and Gerald “Cody” Boyd

In season 6, episode 7 the murder of her ex-boyfriend, Gerald “Cody” Boyd by Kathleen Denson is shown. This murder occurred in the state of Colorado. Oxygen describes this episode of Snapped as Kathleen Denson, a Colorado fur store owner, shoots her ex-boyfriend in self-defense in June 2002



Kathleen Denson is Acquitted. According to Vail Daily,
A 12-person jury unanimously acquitted Denson of murdering her former boyfriend, Gerald “Cody” Boyd, with a black-powder pistol.
Deliberating two hours, the jurors found Denson not guilty of second-degree murder as well as manslaughter, a lesser offense introduced Monday that can carry a sentence of one to 12 years. she wept when the verdict was read.
