Snapped Holly McFeeture and Matthew Podolak

Status: Incarcerated

The story of Holly McFeeture and her fiancée Matthew Podolak is the subject of Oxygen's Snapped show, season 12, episode 6. Oxygen describes the show as: Holly McFeeture is an Ohio woman, who poisoned her fiancée Matthew Podolak with antifreeze and staged it as a suicide in July 2006 and got away with it for 6 years.

Matthew Podolak died at Parma Community General Hospital in 2006. Dr. Daniel Galita, a medical examiner in the Cuyahoga County Coroner's Office, performed an autopsy upon Mr. Podolak. He found Podolak died of chronic intoxication by ethylene glycol, a chemical found in antifreeze. Six years later, in 2012, Holly McFeeture, Podolak's live-in girlfriend at the time of his death, was indicted for his murder. The matter was tried to a jury. The state alleged that three months prior to his death, McFeeture began poisoning Podolak by putting antifreeze in his iced tea. The defense alleged Podolak committed suicide. The defense's expert testified Podolak suffered from acute poisoning, indicative of suicide. After a lengthy trial, the jury found McFeeture guilty of aggravated murder.

Holly McFeeture was sentenced to life in prison with a possibility of parole after 30 years
