In Oxygen's Snapped, Season 2, episode 4 the story of her husband, successful attorney Larry McNabney and Elisa McNabney is shown. This happens in the state of  Nevada. Elisa McNabney was never convicted. She gave a full confession to police a week prior to hanging herself on March 31, 2002. It was discovered her real name was Laren Sims and that she had served time in prison in Florida.

Sarah Dutra was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and being an accessory to murder. She was sentenced to the maximum of 11 years, 8 months in prison. She has since been released.
