Snapped Elicia Hughes and Brian Hughes

Status: Acquitted 

In season 6, episode 22 the murder of her husband, Brian Hughes by Elicia Hughes is shown. This murder occurred in the state of Mississippi. Oxygen describes this episode of Snapped as Elicia Hughes is suspected of shooting her husband Brian six times in their home in June 2004 after learning of his infidelity.



Elicia Hughes was convicted and sentenced to life in prison on January 9, 2007. Conviction overturned, in a second trial, Elicia Hughes was found not guilty.

Status: Incarcerated In Oxygen's Snapped, Season 4, episode 13 the story of her husband Army Maj. David Shannon and Joan Shannon is shown. This happens in the state of North Carolina. Oxygen describes this show as: Joan Shannon solicits her daughter Elizabeth in the July 2002 shooting death of her husband David, a soldier. Joan Shannon was convicted of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder.
