Oxygen describes this show as: Deidra Lane, the wife of North Carolina Panthers football player Fred Lane, claims self-defense in his July 2000 shooting death.

Deidra Lane pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. She was sentenced to seven years and 11 months in prison. She was released on November 28, 2009.
