This does not end well for his mother, Katy as they end up dead in the state of California.

The show is described as: Halloween becomes a real-life horror story when police discover a beloved mother of four murdered; the panic intensifies as the investigation turns into a case populated by demons, masks and a potential psychopath on the loose.

The jury found defendant guilty of second degree murder, during the commission of which he personally used a deadly weapon, and further found he was legally sane when he committed the crime.  The trial court sentenced defendant to state prison for an indeterminate term of 15 years to life for the murder, plus a consecutive determinate term of one year for the use of a deadly weapon, and imposed other orders.

Snapped Joan Shannon and Army Maj. David Shannon

Status: Incarcerated In Oxygen's Snapped, Season 4, episode 13 the story of her husband Army Maj. David Shannon and Joan Shannon is shown. This happens in the state of North Carolina. Oxygen describes this show as: Joan Shannon solicits her daughter Elizabeth in the July 2002 shooting death of her husband David, a soldier. Joan Shannon was convicted of first degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder.
