On Oxygen's Snapped, Season 8, Episode 6 the story of the murder of her yoga instructor, Michael Dojaquez by Amber Trudell is shown. The show is described as Amber Trudell's extramarital affair with her yoga instructor, Michael Dojaquez, comes to a violent end in September 2003 when she shoots him to death on his front porch.

Amber Trudell was Sentenced to 13 years in prison on October 17, 2005

The appeal includes:  After a second jury trial, appellant Amber  Lynn  Trudell  was  convicted  of second-degreemurder.  The trial court sentenced her to a thirteen-year prison term.  On appeal,Trudell argues that her conviction  should  be  vacated  and  charges  against  her dismissed with prejudice because the prosecutor’s misconduct had caused a mistrial.  In the alternative,Trudell contends her conviction should be  reversed and her case remanded for a new trial because of the trial court’s erroneous evidentiary rulings and failure to instruct the  jury  on  the  lesser-included  offense  of  negligent  homicide.

Status: Incarcerated In Oxygen's Snapped, Season 4, episode 13 the story of her husband Army Maj. David Shannon and Joan Shannon is shown. This happens in the state of North Carolina. Oxygen describes this show as: Joan Shannon solicits her daughter Elizabeth in the July 2002 shooting death of her husband David, a soldier.
